I’m pretty sure I liked this one, but there’s something that’s missing and I feel like it would come in the next books. I just need more!

This book in one sentence: A second chance romance story that is both heartbreaking and heartwarming.

The book is dual pov and we follow Aly and Jared who have know each other since they were young. Aly had always had a crush on Jared, who also happened to be the best friend of Christopher, Aly’s brother, but tragedy tore them, their families, and their lives completely apart. Six years have past and Jared is making a reappearance in Aly’s and Christopher’s lives and that’s when things get interesting.

In a nutshell, I liked this one. The book bounced between the past and present and the story was definitely captivating. I thought how everything unfolded was interesting and the characters were definitely great in this one. None of the characters were not flat and I really liked the relationships between all of them. Specifically speaking on Jared and Aly, I loved how everything developed once they met up again. Everything wasn’t handed out in the beginning and the more I read the more I learned about each character and you get to see how everyone was affect by one person’s actions. The story was slow but intriguing and kept me on my toes just about the entire time.

Overall, I’m glad I picked this one up!

Hearts have a way of finding their way home.
