I cannot stress this enough but August is and incredibly busy month for books! This week there is a release from one of my faves, a book that is incredibly anticipated, and a new book from an author I just found but I’m sure I’ll love! A great way to end the month of August if you ask me!
This book. Once I heard about this book, I knew I neeeeeeeded to have it. Me and my book bestie have been raving about it for a couple of weeks now and we just got it in our hands this morning! I’m sure there are many reasons as to why this one is high on our list, but you better believe we will be reading this asap!
Author Anonymous by E. K. Blair – Adult Contemporary – Goodreads – Amazon – iBooks – B&N
Overview:
She’s an author.
She’s a mother.
She’s a wife.
She’s a fraud.
A woman marked and bound by her own deceit, this is the astounding tale of how one choice knocked her world from its axis forcing her to battle through a year of scandal and betrayal, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
BRB. FAINTING.
I was actually super lucky enough to go to the Austin Book Festival this year and I got to me Karina as well as a handful of other authors!! I purchased four of her books before I went and I even purchased another one at her table because she was a doll and I have no self control! She has been a fave for a while and I tend to pick up anything she puts out!
The Debt by Karina Halle – Contemporary Romance – Goodreads – Amazon – iBooks – B&N
Overview:
Jessica Charles shouldn’t have even been in London when the unthinkable happened.
She should have been back at home in Edinburgh, perhaps hanging with her boyfriend, having drinks with her sister or doing yoga with her group of friends. She should have been going on in her normal, dependable life as always.
But on that fateful day in August, when a mentally-ill ex-soldier opened fire in public, Jessica’s world changed forever.
Now single and crippled from the gunshot wounds, Jessica finds herself scared and alone, losing faith in herself and humanity with each agonizing moment that passes.
That is until a stranger enters her life. A stranger who makes her live again.
Keir McGregor has always been the strong, silent type. Throw in tall, dark, and handsome and you’ve got pretty much the perfect Scotsman.
Except Keir is anything but perfect. He’s got a past he’s running away from and a guilty conscience he can’t seem to shed. But the more time he spends with Jessica, the more he falls in love with her.
And the more his secret threatens to tear them apart.
He may have been a stranger to her.
But she’s never been a stranger to him.
One of my favorite things about reading is adding another author’s work to my collection to read! I found out about a little book called Balance from my book bestie and it’s her favorite book of the year which means I HAVE to read it! Lucia Franco herself is pretty awesome and I can’t wait to devour this as well as her other work!!

Overview:
Adrianna Rossi is no stranger to the rigorous demands required of her body. Years of pain and determination make her one of the best. Olympic glory is the ultimate goal, and she’ll do anything to achieve it. Even if that means leaving home to attend World Cup Academy of Gymnastics, a training center that serves one purpose—producing champions.
Perfection, precision, and dedication are required of his athletes. When two time Olympian Konstantin Kournakova is persuaded into training the young hopeful, he immediately regrets it. She doesn’t come close to his high standards. As the relentless pursuit of her dream keeps her striving, a passion is ignited within him.
Kova’s power and domination, coupled with Adrianna’s fierce tenacity, reveal there is more for her body to learn. Every interaction can be misconstrued, but there’s no mistaking the darkening of his gaze, the lingering of his touch, or the illicit image of his bare skin pressed against hers. Integrity is on the line. One toe off the beam and their forbidden desires could ruin everything they’ve worked for, throwing it all off balance.
Oh what!! I’ve heard that this one is not just a forbidden romance but THE forbidden romance of the year and it’s in my library ready for me to read!! And can we talk about this cover thoooooough!
